The Gibbons post office is once again open after a minor run-in with COVID-19.
According to Canada Post, the temporary closure on Wednesday (Jan.12) was for sanitization purposes.
“We were notified on Wednesday morning that an employee who works at the Gibbons Post Office tested positive for COVID-19,” Canada Post said in a statement.
“The facility was temporarily closed for sanitization and reopened for its regular operating hours on Thursday. We followed our usual protocols for informing employees, supporting contact tracing and conducting a sanitization of the facility.”
The post office has since reopened.
