The Fort Saskatchewan RCMP found drugs and weapons in a recent traffic stop.
Early Tuesday (Jan.25) at 2:20 a.m., police pulled a vehicle over on 84 Street as the driver was showing signs of impairment. Mounties noticed cocaine and cannabis in the vehicle and arrested the man driving the vehicle.
During a vehicle search, police seized $5,250 in Canadian currency, a loaded 9 mm handgun, an 18-round capacity magazine, a knife, and four cell phones.
Daqwan Lee, 27, from Edmonton, has been charged with:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm (x2)
- Unsafe storage of a firearm
- Possession of a prohibited weapon
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of a firearm with a tampered serial device
- Weapons possession contrary to an order (x3)
Lee was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
