Emerance Maschmeyer has another impressive feat to add to her resume.

Maschmeyer and Team Canada slipped by the United States 3-2 in the the gold medal game at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

The goalie from Bruderheim didn't play in the game, but helped the Canadians make it to the final. Maschmeyer allowed just one goal on 23 shots in her preliminary wins against Russia and Sweden.

Ann-Renée Desbiens got the start for the Canadians in the final stopping 37 shots.

Team Canada women's team were perfect in the Olympics, winning all of their games.

The gold medal was the fifth in the last seven Olympics for the women’s Team Canada squad — the win also avenges a loss to the Americans in the 2018 final in Pyongchang.
